Hailing from France and living in Australia for over six years, Charles began to yearn for his favourite French treat - the praline pastry - in all shapes or forms.
Missing his best-loved gourmandise and a passionate home-baker with an entrepreneurial spirit (and a touch of madness), Charles has perfected Pépite Rose - French for "Pink Nugget" - so that locals in Sydney can enjoy what he loves so much. Baked fresh, Charles sells Pépite Rose's pastries from Le Marché (the French market) in Sydney on Sundays.
After having spent the majority of his career in the corporate world, Charles has decided to bring his passion to life, his luggage from Lyon, his hometown and the city of gastronomy, to Australia – where great food and culture combine and thrive.
At Pépite Rose, we craft our products by hand, locally in Sydney, to create a pastry that melts in your mouth that leaves you wanting to come back for more.
It all starts with what could be imagined as a gold nugget coloured in a soft dusting of pink, the French pink praline, being the core ingredient of the star of the house, La Pépite Rose.
With quality ingredients sourced from quality producers in France and Australia, Pépite Rose will always endeavour to bring uniqueness and freshness to your palate, and all this with lots of love.
